JPN Starter Decks 19 & 20: ULTIMATE DECK ~Blazing Zero/Silver Zero~ (The Ultimate Golden Age begins now...!) [COMPLETE!!]

Post  Smash Spirit on Tue Aug 27, 2013 12:10 am

My most sincere apologies for being absent for so long again (phone bill issue/reading up on "The Wonderful 101" for the Wii U), but to make up for it, I have a huge load of information regarding the future of Battle Spirits! You might want to strap yourselves in; this is going to be a sea of text... Razz

Battle Spirits begins anew with the sixth all-new animated series "The Strongest Galaxy: ULTIMATE ZERO ~Battle Spirits~" [Original Japanese: 最強銀河究極ゼロ ~バトルスピリッツ~ "Saikyou-Ginga Kyuukyoku (Arutimetto) Zero ~Batoru-Supirittsu~], premiering on TV Asahi channels September 22nd! Join the adventures of 一番星のレイ Ichibanhoshi-no-Rei ("Rei of the First Star"), an intrepid space adventurer with a love for treasures, Battle Spirits, and pizza! Together with his friends and his partner dragon Mugen, they shall explore the far reaches of the galaxy in their search for the "Space Compasses" while fending off attacks from Rei's rival, 流れ星のキリガ Nagareboshi-no-Kiriga ("Kiriga of the Shooting Star"), and the Card Questers' Guild headed by the mysterious "Miroku."

Depending on the type of deck he uses in a Battle Spirits duel, Rei can transform into different heroic alteregos: the hot-blooded 灼熱のゼロ "Shakunetsu no Zero (Blazing Zero)" for his Ruby deck, and the tough-as-nails 白銀のゼロ "Hakugin no Zero (Silver Zero)" for his Diamond deck. Come September 14th, both of these decks will be replicated from the anime and made available to you as the newest Starter Decks! Both are packed with never-before-seen cards with awesome abilities and mechanics that shall usher in a new Golden Age for the Battle Spirits Trading Card Game....

Various legends across the galaxy tell of an ancient world where creatures were locked in an intense, never-ending battle with each other. These creatures, called "Spirits," ended up being sealed away inside crystal-like confinements. Now, after many ages have passed, the ancient Spirits are reborn, released from their crystal seals and evolving to a new stage of ultimate power....
Battle Spirits started off with Spirits, Nexus Cards, and Spell Cards. The Constellation Saga introduced us to equipment-like cards called Braves. Now, new Spirits have evolved into an all-new fifth card type: "ULTIMATES"!!! Ultimates are specially-enhanced ultra-strong Spirits that shine with a golden radiance (that is, they are marked with all-new gold foil card frames)! They are endowed with special golden "Ultimate Gem Symbols" (I will use "{U}" in my notations for those) that cannot be used for Core Cost Reduction for other cards, so be careful. Ultimates are so strong, in fact, that they start off at Battle Level 3 and can even reach "Battle Level 5"!! With such high levels, of course you can expect their Battle Point amounts to be hard to beat!

Thanks to their new labeling, even though they attack and defend like Spirits, Ultimates cannot be targeted by Spirit-affecting abilities!! Also due to Ultimates being separate and different from Spirits, Ultimates cannot perform Brave Fusion. Since these Ultimates are so strong, they cannot be summoned normally like Spirits can; they have special conditions that must be fulfilled to summon them. But don't worry, none of these summoning conditions will be extreme, so feel free to unleash ultimate fury upon your rivals!

Finally, there's the "Ultimate Trigger," a super-strong ability exclusive to Ultimate creatures! After achieving the right timing conditions, your opponent reveals the top card in his/her deck. If the revealed card has a lower Core Cost than your Ultimate's, it counts as a "HIT" and the Ultimate Trigger effect activates! If the revealed card's Core Cost is higher than or the same as your Ultimate's, then that is considered a "GUARD" and the Ultimate Trigger does not happen.

The future is bright and golden for Battle Spirits as we gear ahead to a new anime series and the twenty-fourth expansion set "ULTIMATE BATTLE 01" coming late October! The card list for each deck shall be listed below (names will be subject to change); keep a sharp eye out on this thread for more info on these cards coming soon! Very Happy

You may notice a good portion of the information below is absent (the flavor text in particular). At this point in time, the Japanese wiki I'm translating from only has details on the different effects of each card; not even the card pictures are available. The missing pieces will be added in as soon as they are available. In the meantime, enjoy the preview!

***ULTIMATE DECK 01: BLAZING ZERO***

[SD19-001] FIZARD {0}
ファイザード (Faizaado)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Winged Dragon
Level 1 <1>: 1000BP, Level 2 <3>: 3000BP, Level 3 <5>: 4000BP

Hey! If a small fry like you flies too high, you'll drop straight into the floating continent!
—————
[SD19-002] MUGENDRA {1} -1R, -1D
ムゲンドラ (Mugendora)
Uncommon Ruby Spirit [R] Reborn
Level 1 <1>: 1000BP, Level 2 <2>: 2000BP, Level 3 <4>: 3000BP

(Lv. 1-2-3): Treat this Spirit as a Ruby Spirit as well as a Diamond Spirit. This Spirit's Gem Symbol also gets the same treatment ("[R/D]").
This cute little guy attracts Ultimate creatures? That's a bit unbecoming for a Spirit.
—————
[SD19-003] ROOKIE RYUUMAN {2} -1R
ルーキー・リューマン (Ruukii-Ryuuman)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Dragon
Level 1 <1>: 2000BP, Level 2 <2>: 3000BP, Level 3 <4>: 4000BP

When This Spirit Attacks (Lv. 2-3): Draw a card from your deck.
Our leader Nort is way too cautious. The best way to investigate the continent floating in the sky is to just go ahead and land on the thing! Then he talks about searching for evidence... You there, the new Dragon recruit! You agree with me, right?!
—————
[SD19-004] BAZOOKA RYUUMAN {2} -2R
バズ・リューマン (Bazu-Ryuuman)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Dragon
Level 1 <1>: 1000BP, Level 2 <5>: 5000BP

When Destroyed (Lv. 1-2): Destroy one enemy Spirit with 4000BP or less.
A giant mass of land suddenly appeared floating in the skies. At the Dragons' request, the six of us went to this unknown frontier to investigate. It looks like I'm being charged with manual work.
—————
[SD19-005] EDGE WOLF {3} -2R
エッジ・ウルフ (Ejji-Wurufu)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Emperor Beast
Level 1 <1>: 3000BP, Level 2 <3>: 5000BP, Level 3 <4>: 6000BP

When This Spirit Attacks (Lv. 1-2-3): This Spirit gains +3000BP. If you have an Ultimate on your Field, this Spirit gains an additional +3000BP.
Seriously?! That wolf actually won a battle against an Ultimate?! I guess even Ultimates aren't invincible.
—————
[SD19-006] DRAGOKNIGHT {4} -2R
ドラゴナイト (Doragonaito)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Dragon
Level 1 <1>: 2000BP, Level 2 <3>: 5000BP

When Summoned (Lv. 1-2): When you have an Ultimate on your Field, destroy one of your opponent's Nexus.
When This Spirit Attacks (Lv. 1-2): Draw a card from your deck.
What's with that guy battling with a sword like some old-timer from the Middle Ages? Are all the warriors who come from up there like him?
—————
[SD19-007] AIZEN DRAGON {5} -3R
アイゼンドラゴン (Aizendoragon)
Common Ruby Spirit [R] Dragon
Level 1 <1>: 3000BP, Level 2 <3>: 5000BP, Level 3 <5>: 6000BP

When in Battle (Lv. 1-2): Destroy one enemy Spirit with 3000BP or less. If you have an Ultimate on your Field when using this ability, draw a card from your deck as well.
Look... Isn't that the famous berserker Aizen? Why can't I stand a chance against him?! ...What was that? The group of warriors called "Ultimates"...?
<<Name Origin: アイゼン "Aizen" (Japanese, "crampons;" borrowed from the original German "Steigeisen"), a set of metal-claw-like devices usually attached to the soles of boots to improve traction and mobility on ice and snow, especially when ice climbing>>

Uncommon Ruby Ultimate {U} Reborn/Reptile Beast
Level 3 <1>: 6000BP, Level 4 <3>: 9000BP, Level 5 <5>: 13,000BP

Ultimate Summoning Conditions: Have at least one Ruby Spirit on your Field.
ULTIMATE TRIGGER: When This Ultimate Attacks (Lv. 4-5)
First, have your opponent reveal the top card of his/her deck. If the revealed card has a lower Core Cost than your Ultimate does, the Ultimate Trigger "hits" and the following effect activates. When this Ultimate Trigger hits, your opponent must block this attack if he/she is capable. Note that his/her Ultimates do not have to block. If this Ultimate gets blocked by an enemy Spirit, send one of your opponent's Life Cores to his/her Reserve.
How interesting! I'll try my luck on this guy! HERE I GO!! ...Wh-what the--?! This freak keeps calm even during my attack...!
<<Revival Remake Origin: [BS01-001] Goradon>>
—————
[SD19-009] ULTIMATE DRAGNO SOLDIER {5} -3R

When this Ultimate Trigger hits, your opponent must block this attack if he/she is capable. Note that his/her Ultimates do not have to block. If this Ultimate gets blocked by an enemy Spirit, send one of your opponent's Life Cores to his/her Reserve.
Absurdly strong creatures are descending from the Sky Continent. Arshea calls them "Ultimates." She says that they must be differentiated from Spirits, but I think the name fits quite well. Ultimate... I'll use that name, too.
<<Revival Remake Origin: [BS02-005] Charging Dragno Soldier>>

When this Ultimate Trigger hits, your opponent must block this attack if he/she is capable. Note that his/her Ultimates do not have to block. If this Ultimate gets blocked by an enemy Spirit, send one of your opponent's Life Cores to his/her Reserve.
(Flash Timing) When This Ultimate Attacks (Lv. 4-5): TRUE EVOLUTION <Special Ruby Ultimate Ability>
By moving one Core from one of your Spirits to this Ultimate, this Ultimate gains +3000BP.
A shining golden Dragon! So that's an Ultimate...!

[SD20-001] MISSILE MOBILE {1} -1D

Common Diamond Spirit [D] Armed Machine
Level 1 <1>: 1000BP, Level 2 <2>: 3000BP, Level 3 <4>: 4000BP

Having measured their power before, a missile with low pursuit efficiency can't even target an Ultimate.
—————

ムゲンドラ (Mugendora)
Uncommon Diamond Spirit [D] Reborn
Level 1 <1>: 1000BP, Level 2 <2>: 2000BP, Level 3 <4>: 3000BP

(Lv. 1-2-3): Treat this Spirit as a Diamond Spirit as well as a Ruby Spirit. This Spirit's Gem Symbol also gets the same treatment ("[D/R]").
There are no documented records on this Spirit; it's an unknown species. Could it have a connection with the continent floating in the skies?
—————

(Lv. 2-3): INVINCIBILITY (Ruby) <Special Diamond Ability>

The data reports state that the air troops carry the core of the enforce reconnaissance unit. Since they're flying in specialized formations, that could only mean there's an emergency situation waiting for them... Could it be an Ultimate?!
—————
[SD20-007] WHITE JET DRAGOON {5} -4D
ホワイトジェットドラグーン (Howaito-Jetto Doraguun)
Common Diamond Spirit [D] Armored Dragon

This world is far too wide for a single team to do research on, so the six of us split up into teams of two. Arshea is my partner, huh... I'm not liking this too much, but at least it's much better than being stuck with that muscular idiot Ozzania....

It took me long enough, but these Starter Decks are finally finished, flavor text, mistake corrections and all! Now to get back to finishing sets 17 & 18... Razz I can't wait to start watching "Ultimate Zero" (Battle Spirits' sixth animated series) very soon (premieres this Sunday)!
