The ressemblence of Battle Spirits anime with Yugioh
is it just me cause the battle spirits anime kinda seems a bit like yugioh
season 1: battle spirits (toppa) and yugioh (yugi): both main charachters were small both in age and height. and the story was new and exciting
season 2: battle spirits (Dan) yugioh gx (judai): both main charachters were near teen. they were both cheerefull and the story of the anime was exciting at first but then got dark and gloomy.
season 3: battle spirits (Dan) yugioh 5ds (yusai): both main charachters were near 18 and the story was alot more serious than the previous 2 seasons and didnt had many happy scenes.
season 4: battle battle spirits (hajime) yugioh zeal (yuma): the main charachters bacame small near 11 again and the story is totally cheerefull.

isn't such development (and circle) not the simple fact of a game product anyway?! we could sure add duel masters tcg, where todays 12 year old, could never live witness the games start phase in 2002^^

That's pretty interesting. I never made the connection.
Though, Dan can only be about 14-15 in Brave. It was 2 years after Gekiha Dan, where he was confirmed to be 12 at the start. But he acts much more mature.

Ah, I see I'm not the only one who's noticed! Being "kiddy" seemed to be a trend this (last?) year:
Compare Yu-gi-oh Zexal to 5Ds. 5Ds is definitely more mature.
Gundam 00 to Gundam Age-for me presented in a "the UE is PURE EVIL" sort of thing. Usually although there is one side that is "good" both sides will be seen in shades of gray and we get to see their reasons for fighting.
Battle Spirits Brave to Heroes-Brave had lot of danger, people dying in duels (reminds me of Yugioh's shadow games) compare that to heroes....
Interestingly, I like both Zexal and Age. Haven't got the strength to watch Heroes yet....

I'd rather have an exaggerated, pure evil villain than no villains at all, which is what Heroes has. It's actually entertaining to watch, but has no conflict or objective at all. Although the series is similar to Toppa Bashin, being gag-heavy and with focus on the characters more than a plot, it doesn't really stand out because it's going nowhere. At least at the end of the first quarter in series 1, they had a major tournament and introduced more of Numbers Elite, setting things into motion. Also Hajime is a very uninteresting protagonist. If the show was about Kimari (world dominating loli) instead, or even Arata, who has the whole hot-blooded hero thing going, I'd be more interested.
I haven't actually watched any of Zexal, but I'm guessing that has at least semblance of conflict.
