"dragon" and summon combo question

hi expert players, i need to know detailed, how this works, or not:

can i use "the dictator volcanus" effect "you may summon a dragon spirit..." and so on, with this card:

"the armored dragon maximillion" who has type "ancient dragon" ?

Unfortunately not. I checked a similar card, the flamedragon ma-gwo (http://www.bandai.com/cards/battlespirits/carddetails.php?cid=21&sid=1)
has an effect were he gains BP for every "dragon spirit". It says in the ruling that he only gets BP if the type is dragon only, not ancient/terra/whatever variation of dragon.

almost feared that is very strict, ok thnx for quick help:-)
