Just in time for the Christmas weekend, the twentieth Japanese Battle Spirits expansion set is here! BLADE'S EDGE SAGA, Chapter II: "Cross Crisis ~Chaos Blade War Records~" [剣刃編第二章「乱剣戦記」KENJINHEN (Tsurugi-hen), Dainishou: "Ranken Senki (Kurosu-Kuraishisu)"] hits Japanese stores this Friday, 21 December 2012 with 92 all-new cards (46 Commons/18 Uncommons/12 Rares/8 Master Rares/6 X-Rare Spirits/2 X-Rare Sword Braves). In this set, the Charge & Rush abilities are taken to whole new levels with their special effects as three of the most powerful Spirits in this season's anime so far get their card debut, including Ninetail Dark's new enhanced form!

Due to the recent card frame overhaul, no official English names are available for this set; as such, the names I provide are my personal fan-translations and will be subject to change based on revealed cultural cross-references. To attempt to answer your question, Wereborg, I am currently so scatterbrained at the moment that I can't seem to remember if there were any Braves with Burst Trigger effects, but technically speaking, Burst Triggers in most cases (depending on the effect text) sort of count as a "special summon," so Direct Brave Fusion should not be a problem. Plus, both players have Flash Timing Phases each turn, so if you were to summon a Brave with the Emerald Ability HIGH SPEED while you're on the receiving end of an attack from your opponent, that counts as a summon, therefore Direct Brave Fusion should be possible, provided you have the right components on the Field.

Well, a new year is upon us, the world did not come to a grisly end as so many believed, America dodged the "fiscal cliff" (for now at least Razz ), and I've just completed the twentieth set... I'd say those are some good reasons to celebrate! Very Happy Perhaps now that I have time between sets, I can get off my semi-lazy bum and get cracking on the "Supreme Heroes Saga" that I skipped... Razz On a side note, is Bandai putting much more emphasis on Darkness Spirits than Light Spirits these past two sets, or is it just me...?

Anywho, I probably should get back to Set 14 for the time being; who knows when news of the next Starter Deck (Tsurugi's "Darkness Fang"?) might show up? Enjoy Set 20, and here's hoping everyone has a new year filled with success and happiness! Smile

First, thanks for completing this set cheers
for now, there are 6 brave with burst eff, 3 from BS17 and 3 from promo (2 colored)
so brave that summoned (with any eff) on both player attack step can direct-brave, k?
